Moscow International Multimedia Center hosted the International Conference "The Man Who Changed the World" dedicated to Mikhail Gorbachev’s 90th anniversary

"The Man Who Changed the World" – an international conference under this title was dedicated to Mikhail Gorbachev’s 90th anniversary. Its first day was held in the Moscow International Multimedia Center on March 4.

Prominent scientists, politicians, public figures and journalists from Russia, Belarus, Germany, France and the United States made online and offline speeches dedicated to the era of the one and only President of the Soviet Union. The event was attended by Condoleezza Rice, 66th US Secretary of State; Thomas Kunze, head of the Adenauer Foundation Moscow office; Sam Nunn, former US Senator, co-founder of the Nuclear Threat Initiative; Pascal Boniface, Director of the French Institute for International and Strategic Affairs; Sir Rodrik Braithwaite, writer and UK's former ambassador to Moscow; Pavel Palazhchenko, Head of the International Contacts and Press Office, Gorbachev Foundation; Vladimir Ryzhkov, Russian politician; Alexey Kara-Murza, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences; journalist Bernard Guetta, and others.

The conference dedicated to Mikhail Gorbachev’s 90th anniversary was organized by the Gorbachev Foundation, in cooperation with Ivan Polyakov Humanitarian Project, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the German Historical Institute. TV BRICS International Media Network took on the role of an information partner.
